Fiesta Week 2023
|
Fiesta Week 2023 was a great success!
Club Carib started this year off with a bang, as our very own Miss Club Carib 2023, Kiente Litchmore, became Miss Fiesta 2023 at the Queen's Court Ball! Congratulations to Kiente and special congrats to our Mini Miss Club Carib 2023, Mia, and all the other queens who represented their pavilions at the ball with beauty and grace. We then kicked off the week with the Concert and Street Festival at Memorial Park, performing a few of our dances and serving food in the park on Father's Day. Throughout the week, Club Carib was open for Lunch Tuesday to Friday afternoons, and hosted Dinner & Shows every evening Tuesday to Saturday night. We had a full house! Thank you to all who came out to support Club Carib and get a taste of Oshawa's diverse cultures. We can't wait to see you all next year! A round of applause to ALL our volunteers who dedicated their time this Fiesta. Our success wouldn't be possible without your contribution! Check out our highlights of the festivities throughout our website! |
Our First 50 Years
In February, Club Carib had the opportunity to present out history at the Oshawa Public Library's Local History Speaker Series. At this event, we presented our Club's first 50 years and displayed our first steelpan made by Carlyle Julal which now resides in the Oshawa Museum.

To Our Members: A Call for Volunteers
We are looking forward to being able to celebrate Fiesta once again this year. It will look a bit different than years past and we are still working out what that will involve. We are hoping to be able to rely on you, our membership, to assist with this. Please consider if you are able to volunteer your time. At this time, we don't have specific duties but we are looking for some help before and during the event. The Fiesta Parade will be held on Sunday, June 19 and we are planning to sell food in the park this year. Please let us know if we can count on you. You can indicate your interest and your preferred method of contact by sending an email to clubcariboshawainc@gmail.com.
