Afro-Caribbean Dance and Beginner Steelpan classes are back at Club Carib of Oshawa Inc.!
Dance classes will take place on Tuesdays from September 2nd, 2025 to June 16th 2026, plus performances at our Caribbean Pavilion during Fiesta Week! This monthly session runs from 6:30 pm to 8:15 pm at the Caribbean Cultural Centre, located at 600 Wentworth Street E in Oshawa. Youth ages 5-18 years old are welcome! Fees are $60 per child per month for non-members, and $50 per child per month for members. Payment can be made in person or via e-transfer to [email protected] once registered. |
Beginner Steelpan classes will take place on Wednesdays from October 1st, 2025 to November 19th, 2025. This is an 8-week session running from 6:30pm to 7:45pm at the Caribbean Cultural Centre, located at 600 Wentworth Street E in Oshawa. All ages are welcome!
Fees are $120 for the 8-week session. Payment can be made in person or via e-transfer to [email protected] once registered.

Start off the celebrations at the Street Festival and Concert at Memorial Park this Sunday June 15th from 12:00pm-5:00pm! See our Hummingbird Dancers perform and visit us at our Club Carib Booth! We will be selling delicious Caribbean food and beverages throughout the afternoon, so you can stop by, enjoy delicious food, and support us at the park!
Throughout the week, come lime with us for a taste of the Caribbean at Club Carib’s Pavilion! Enjoy our FAVOURED Curry Chicken Roti, snack on a fresh Jamaican Patty, and experience our cultural dance, steelpan music, and much more during our shows! Check out our Upcoming Events page for details! |

Fiesta Week is fast approaching and we are looking for volunteers to help us get ready for this important event. We have many different ways our members and supporters can help us out over the week:
Saturday, June 14th: Preparation for Street Festival & Spring Clean Up @ Club Carib from 2:00pm •Preparing food, gathering supplies, and loading the truck for the Street Festival •Yard clean up and general tidying up throughout the building Sunday, June 15th: Setup for Street Festival & Concert @ Memorial Park from 8:00am - 10:00am •Setup of food tents and booth Sunday, June 15th: Food Serving at Street Festival @ Memorial Park from 12:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. •Serving the food at the food booth in Memorial Park Sunday June 15th: Take Down at Street Festival @ Memorial Park from 6:00pm - 8:00pm •Take down of food tents and booth •Offload the equipment back at Club Carib Monday, June 16th: Preparation for Fiesta Week @ Club Carib from 9:00am until end of day •Prepping and cooking food to prepare to serve lunch and dinner during the week •Setup of chairs and tables for the patrons to sit at when they visit during the week Tuesday, June 17th - Saturday June 21st: During Fiesta Week @ Club Carib anytime between 9:00am - 11:30pm •Assist with prepping, cooking and/or serving food during lunch and dinner times each day •Collecting and emptying garbage, trusting up around the building •Security and parking attendants outside and directing patrons to parking Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering for anytime this Fiesta Week at [email protected]. Introducing our Miss Club Carib 2025, Adiia, and Mini Miss Club Carib 2025, Olivia!
Adiia and Olivia were successfully selected to represent our pavilion this Fiesta Week. Olivia is one of our current Primary Hummingbird Dancers, and Adiia has been a long time member of our Club, participating in the steelband and volunteering at our events in her youth as she is now attending university. Congratulations! On May 10th, 2025, Miss Club Carib 2025, Adiia, successfully competed with the other pavilion queens at Queen's Court for Miss Fiesta 2025. Adiia represented our Club with grace and class to achieve the 2nd Runner-Up for this year. Congratulations Adiia, you have done us proud! Check out their highlights from our queen’s crowning at the Annual Spring Luncheon and the Queen's Court Ball. We can’t for you all to meet them both at this year’s fiesta week, June 15th-21st! |

Get out and explore the cultures of Oshawa this year, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Fiesta Week! Kick off the festivities at the Memorial Park Street Festival and Concert this Sunday June 16th, and visit us at our Caribbean food and marketplace booths! Throughout the week, come lime with us for a taste of the caribbean at Club Carib’s Pavilion and enjoy delicious food, cultural dance, steelpan music, and more! Volunteers Needed

Fiesta Week is fast approaching and it is the busiest time of the year for our pavilion. We really need volunteers to help us get ready for this important event. We have many different ways you can help us out. We appreciate every effort from our members and friends.
On Saturday June 15th from 9:00am - 1:00pm, we will have a "Spring Clean Up" at the Caribbean Cultural Centre in Oshawa. Many jobs need to be done, including: mowing the lawn, cleaning up the outside of the lot, and tending to the plants/flowers, preparing food to sell at our food booth in Memorial Park the following day, cleaning chairs, and moving items to make it more efficient during Fiesta Week. We need volunteers to help out at the booths we have at Memorial Park (food booth and marketplace) on Sunday June 16th. This event runs from 12:00pm - 6:00pm. We also need help for an hour or two with setup at 8:00am as the food tents are heavy and difficult to manage on your own. Then, we will need help as well at 6:00pm for take down. |
We are also looking for any items you have that represent the island you or your family come from so we can display them for the day at our marketplace booth to advertise Club Carib. Please contact Norma Chapman-Holder at (905) 550-3297 if you have anything you can lend to us.
We will continue to need volunteers to help us during Fiesta Week at the lunch rush and evenings from Tuesday to Saturday - including food prep, cleaning up, garbage collection, wiping down tables, emptying the garbage, directing traffic in the parking lot, keeping the exit areas clear, and much more.
If you know any high school students who are looking for volunteer hours, we encourage them to come out and help with the events.
We need a whole group effort to help us manage the demands of Fiesta Week. Our efforts this week will help us to finance our expenses to keep our Cultural Centre running. We want it to continue to be a place where we can meet and enjoy events as a Club.

You may have seen on our social media highlights Nia is not only representing Club Carib this fiesta week, she has also been selected as Miss Fiesta 2024 after successfully winning the title and Miss Congeniality in the Queen’s Court Ball! Congratulations Nia! As the youngest granddaughter of one of the esteemed founders of the club, Ken Holford, Nia has honoured his legacy with this victory. Special congrats to all the queens from each pavilion! We look forward to welcoming everyone at our pavilion this Fiesta Week! Fiesta Week 2023 was a great success!
Club Carib started this year off with a bang, as our very own Miss Club Carib 2023, Kiente Litchmore, became Miss Fiesta 2023 at the Queen's Court Ball! Congratulations to Kiente and special congrats to our Mini Miss Club Carib 2023, Mia, and all the other queens who represented their pavilions at the ball with beauty and grace. We then kicked off the week with the Concert and Street Festival at Memorial Park, performing a few of our dances and serving food in the park on Father's Day. Throughout the week, Club Carib was open for Lunch Tuesday to Friday afternoons, and hosted Dinner & Shows every evening Tuesday to Saturday night. We had a full house! Thank you to all who came out to support Club Carib and get a taste of Oshawa's diverse cultures. We can't wait to see you all next year! A round of applause to ALL our volunteers who dedicated their time this Fiesta. Our success wouldn't be possible without your contribution! Our First 50 Years

In February, Club Carib had the opportunity to present out history at the Oshawa Public Library's Local History Speaker Series. At this event, we presented our Club's first 50 years and displayed our first steelpan made by Carlyle Julal which now resides in the Oshawa Museum.
